It's summer time! A great time for both kids and pets to enjoy the nice weather at a park, a beach, or just playing around in the neighborhood. Wait: until kids are older than 4yrs before getting a family pet.
Supervise: Never leave small childer or babies alone with a pet.
Be Cautious: Teach your children to be cautious around pets and not to bother them while sleeping or eating.
Ask First: Childern should ask an owner for permission 1st before petting.
Don't Run: Tell kids to stay still if a strange dog comes up to them. Dogs naturally love to chase!
Treat bites immediately: Wash small wounds with soap and water. Seek medical attention for larger wounds.
